Putting the splash pan on was a challenge because it is not precisely sized to allow for the dust cover to go over the shaft. We ended up using a box cutter to slowly whittle away enough space for the dust cover on the RK3D to rotate like it's meant to do. Maybe a Dremel would have been better.

Besides the unexpected irritation of the initial setup, I am very happy to finally have a large splash pan I can just clean out with a sponge or drain and I'd recommend it for anyone that the 2-piece splash pan with clips annoys.
